Mission Statement
Pug Rescue of New England's mission is simple. We find homes for abandoned and surrendered pugs in the six New England states. We accept pugs of any age, condition, or situation. Our pugs will be checked by a veterinarian, updated on all shots, and treated for current medical needs before being adopted.
The PRoNE Family
Our rescue is foster home based and our volunteers have a vast knowledge of the Pug breed. Veterinary costs far exceed adoption fees collected each year. PRoNE is supported by donations, subscriptions to our quarterly newsletter, The Pug Phoenix, and other fundraising events such as the annual Pug Social held in October.
In 2008 PRoNE rescued 124 pugs and spent more than $30,000 on veterinary care.
Once a pug is surrendered to PRoNE it becomes a part of the PRoNE family. Any pug adopted from PRoNE may be returned to us at any time for any reason. We are committed to surrendered pugs for the remainder of their lives.
