| Shaw’s Supermarket has approved our application to participate in their “Receipt Rewards” fund-raising program!!! How does it work? All we need to do is collect Shaw’s and/or Star Market cash register receipts. Receipts are redeemed in bundles totaling $5000.00. Six percent of the total is deducted for non-eligible items, such as postage stamps, lottery tickets, film processing, tobacco products, gift cards, prescriptions and any other items prohibited by law. Shaw’s will then donate 1% of the balance to PRoNE—which will be about $47.00. Slips must be dated from January 30, 2007 to the present. PLEASE do not cut or tear the slip for any reason. Slips must be whole—start to finish from the register. If you are concerned about credit or debit card info, ink out that information. Do not poke holes or try to tear out the number. If a receipt has had any promotional coupons listed on the back cut or torn off, the slip is not valid. While it may not seem like a large amount, people need to shop for food weekly and with regular receipt contributors, we can make a few hundred dollars for our pugs without too much effort.
